Lisa Weiberg, PT, is a physical therapist with over 30 years of experience, specializing in the treatment of neck and back pain, including neck-related headaches, as well as balance disorders. She works with patients experiencing both musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, including neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease.
Lisa was drawn to the Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology because of the opportunity to work with a wide range of patients, combining care for neck and back pain with complex neurological conditions. She values the challenge and variety of helping patients improve function and quality of life.
She chose physical therapy because it allows her to bridge the gap between traditional and complementary approaches to care. Lisa enjoys problem-solving with patients and helping them find natural, effective ways to manage pain and improve mobility without relying solely on medications.
One patient success that stands out involved a patient experiencing frequent moderate to severe headaches. Lisa identified tight neck muscles contributing to the pain and provided targeted manual therapy along with guided stretching techniques. After six visits, the patient reported only mild headaches and had not experienced any moderate to severe episodes for several weeks.
Lisa earned her degree from the Program in Physical Therapy at Washington University in St. Louis.
She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, cross-country skiing, reading, baking, and spending time with her husband and three adult children. She also played clarinet in high school and college and now enjoys playing piano at home.
Her approach to health focuses on consistency and balance. She prioritizes sleep, staying active through outdoor activities, maintaining a balanced diet, and making sustainable lifestyle choices. She encourages patients to stay active, build routines they enjoy, and take a proactive approach to their health.
