She then completed her internship and neurology residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, MN.
Specialties and Professional Interests
Dr. Aldinger specializes in neurology with particular interests in headache care, EMG, and neurohospitalist medicine. She is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and is committed to delivering the best possible care for every patient.
Patient Care Philosophy
Her care philosophy centers on listening closely to each patient’s story, reviewing medical records in detail, and performing thorough neurologic examinations. Dr. Aldinger values the process of solving neurologic “mysteries” and finding tailored treatment options. In addition, her background as a pharmacist provides her with a unique perspective when making informed decisions about medication and treatment plans.
Why She Chose MCN
Dr. Aldinger chose to join the Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology because of its reputation as a leading private neurology practice. She appreciates working with a cohesive team of neurologists and staff who share a dedication to excellent patient care.
A Patient Success Story
One of Dr. Aldinger’s success stories involves a patient struggling with severe headaches who had tried many treatments without relief. After carefully reviewing the case, she identified lifestyle factors—such as stress, sleep patterns, nutrition, exercise, posture, and hydration—that contributed to the headaches. By addressing these factors and making targeted medication adjustments, the patient experienced significant improvement. This case illustrates her emphasis on lifestyle as an essential foundation for migraine management and medication effectiveness.
Life Outside of Medicine
Beyond her professional work, Dr. Aldinger enjoys cooking, Bible study, yoga, fitness, and hiking. Walking the family dog has become one of her favorite routines, combining exercise with time in nature and connection to her community. She has also participated in Christian medical missions with her family, serving in Indonesia and Kenya.
Personal Health Perspective
When it comes to health, Dr. Aldinger emphasizes balance. She finds personal peace in Bible study and yoga while also recommending regular exercise, sufficient sleep, stress management, and a nutritious diet. She believes these practices are central to living well and supporting long-term wellness.
Bringing Experience to Patient Care
With decades of experience, Dr. Aldinger offers compassionate care and effective solutions for neurologic concerns. She combines her medical expertise, pharmacist background, and patient-first philosophy to make a meaningful difference in the lives of her patients.
