Cassandra Edson, PA-C earned her degree and served her residency at Midwestern University in Downer’s Grove, IL. Her specialty is sleep medicine with particular interest in idiopathic hypersomnia and sleep apnea.
Cassandra chose to focus on sleep medicine knowing how impactful the care in this area is to patients. “Many of my patients see me when they are feeling their worst – tired, cranky, frustrated – because of poor sleep. Once we start improving their sleep, they often feel moved to tears of happiness by the positive changes in their lives.” Working at MCN allows her the time she needs to provide such excellent care to her patients.
Regarding overall health habits, Cassandra’s mantra is “Forgive yourself for not being perfect.” She points out that even the best laid plans get disrupted by life and recommends starting again and always keep trying.
Outside of the office, you might hear Cassandra before you see her. She is an expert whistler frequently whistling her way through her favorite tunes. She stays busy chasing after her two young children and managing the family’s home life. During quieter moments, she likes taking her rescue pup, Echo, for long walks and immersing herself in reading 2-3 books at a time.
