Masood R. Ghazali Minneapolis Neurology Clinic

Masood R. Ghazali, M.D.

Specializing in:
Epilepsy • Stroke • Headache • EEG • EMG

Dr. Masood Ghazali is a neurologist with 20 years of experience. His medical specialties include strokes, headaches, epilepsy, and performing electromyography (EMG) procedures.

The diversity of conditions within neurology and the wide variety of treatments available to help them is what drew Dr. Ghazali to his specialty. He attended the Armed Forces Medical College in India and conducted his residency at the University of Minnesota.

Besides English, Dr. Ghazali is also fluent in Urdu and Hindi, and has multiple medical professional memberships including The American Academy of Neurology, The American College of Physicians, The American Epilepsy Society, and The American Headache Society.

His greatest patient success story involved a patient who had struggled with life-disrupting seizures for years, hindering his ability to work and drive. Not a candidate for surgery and having had multiple failed attempts at prescription medications, Dr. Ghazali was able to determine the appropriate medication that not only ended the seizures, but also didn’t include sedating side effects. The patient was finally able to proclaim that he could live without the fear of seizures.

Dr. Ghazali’s choice to join MCN is based on our long history of exceptional care within the local community. He is dedicated to our concept of care close to home and looks forward to continuing the tradition.

His personal advice for overall health starts with balance. Dr. Ghazali says, “Balance is not fitting everything in. It is starting with what is important and letting the rest fall as it will. Practice showing up with presence instead of perfection. Stop when you need to stop and take a break.”

Dr. Ghazali keeps the balance in his own life by reading, swimming, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying nice, long car rides.
