My career as a physical therapist has been focused on patients with more complex pain and disability issues. I enjoy the challenge of evaluating a patient’s physical function issues and problem solving to help them regain strength and mobility, improved walking and balance, reduced pain, and return to the activities that are important to them. I create individualized treatment programs to meet each patient’s needs, with the goals of improved function and self-management of their pain or dysfunction issues. I enjoy working with patients of all ages with a variety of diagnoses including neck and back pain, dizziness, balance, walking difficulty, and strength issues. My work as a physical therapist has given me the satisfaction of working with people, and helping them to be able to participate in the things that are important in their lives with less pain or disruption.
Away from work, I enjoy anything I can do outdoors, especially lake activities such as boating and kayaking. I also enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, gardening, hiking, and reading.
