Bruce I. Idelkope, M.D.
I enjoy interacting with and educating patients, thus providing them with insight and more control of their lives. Taking care of patients with life-changing or chronic conditions continually rewards and challenges me. It also reminds me to set priorities in life.
I prefer to have longer-term relationships with my patients, enhancing my perspective on their issues and permitting me to play a greater role in assisting them, whatever their need. I coordinate care with many primary physicians, working with them as their consultant for the specific needs of each patient referred to me.
I also enjoy furthering the education of the Medical Students at our University of Minnesota Medical School finding that this activity keeps me current and permits interaction with the bright minds of our new wave of Medical providers.
I serve as the appointee of the Governor of the State of Minnesota to the Medical Board of Physical Therapy.
I enjoy spending time with my nuclear and my very large extended family as well as any and all outdoor sports and other activities and really don’t like to have too much uncommitted time.
